A little bit about Silvia Mittermuller

This is my first post on here so probably it´s best to introduce myself first.

My name is Silvia Mittermüller, I am a professional snowboarder from  Munich, Germany, but i have spent the last years traveling the world for my sport. It's been quite an adventure.

I've seen lots of places in those years but one of my most favorite ones (if not my absolute favorite place in the world is Breckenridge ). I've been coming to Breck through the last years as often as I can. Due to it's amazing terrain parks, it's the best place to get warmed up for the season or to stay in good shape throughout the season.

So after a long summer that included one month of summercamp time at Camp Of Champions in Whistler and almost three months in Wanaka/New Zealand, I came back to Breckenridge for the early season.

Talking about early season sounds funny to me since my season never really ended. Since June I have constantly been on snow: You could say the season started with the New Zealand Open in August (the first event of our competetive TTR season 2010/2011), but then it also starts with the Northern Hemisphere season in November, and it may have also started with Whistler in June since that was the first snowboarding after the last event of the 2009/2010 season and after the resorts shut in spring .... I guess season beginnings and ends dont really make much sense in my world.

As a matter of fact, I spent six weeks in Breckenridge from mid November until the end of December, snowboarding (I guess you could call it training if you wanted to), filming, shooting photos and just getting ready fort the upcoming months. It went really well, thanks to the perfect terrain parks in Keystone and Breckenridge.

Right now I am on a plane going from Denver to Chicago where I will hopefully make the connection to my Munich flight (it was snowing so much in Denver , good for everyone still up in the mountains but not for those traveling) which should arrive in Munich Dec. 31. On Jan. 1, I'll drive to Switzerland for two TTR 6 star events, the O´Neill Evolution in Davos and the European Open in Laax.

If you are interested in how I do or to see me ride you can watch those events online on Go211 or follow the TTR tour ranking . For a more personal perspective find me on Twitter as @silviamittermul (my name was too long!)

To round up three busy European weeks there will also be the World Championships in Spain , that for the first time ever will also include my favorite discipline: slopestyle. After those three events I will fly back to Denver Jan. 24 to spend a few days in Breckenridge and either do X Games or film with the Peepshow girls. But by then I am sure to give you another update about whats new in my world.

Enjoy the snow whereever you are!
