This week I have had the opportunity to travel to Utah with snowboarding legend Janna Meyen-Wetherby. We traveled to Ogden, Utah for the final stop of the Dew tour. The course is super fun; there are sketchy parts here and there but overall its super fun.
Power Bar is one of the major sponsors of Dew Tour, and in my mind this means a ton of free Power Bar. Later I will tell you some of the athletes I have been looking at that you might want to keep your eyes open for.
The course of the Dew Tour consists of three rails and two jumps. The rails are very hard to explain but my favorite one is called a Canon Rail. You have to come into the rail pretty fast to hit the rail and make it over a 30 foot gap. Sounds crazy but when you see it on TV you will understand how fun it looks.
On the other hand the jumps are pretty darn big. The first jump is 65ft long and the second one is 70ft long. So you can expect to see people doing some amazing tricks on these jumps.
Power Bar is one of the major sponsors of Dew Your. So when I go to the athlete's tent I try to get a much Power Bar I can. My favorite things to grab are the Power Gel Shots, and the Triple Threat Granola Bars. If you are ever in the grocery store and looking for an energy bar to get I highly suggest getting Power Bar. Everything they make is great tasting, healthy for you, and energizes you.
The last couple days I have been watching all the athletes in the Dew Tour. And from my point of view you need to keep eye on Eric Willet, Janna Meyen-Wetherby, Chaz Gudamond, and Spencer Obrien. All these people have the best style in their sport. Each of them makes each trick they do look so good. They grab all the way through the trick, poke the crap out of the trick, and make the crazy double cork spins actually look good. Most people doing double corks look like skiers, but not these guys. So when you are watching the Dew Tour on TV, get really excited when you see these guys come on TV.
It has been a very progressive year for every snowboarder out there. Definitely keep an eye for the athletes I mentioned and have an amazing Colorado week.
