With my entire family visiting here in Breckenridge for a week over Thanksgiving, I have been having fun playing tour guide and coming up with activities and adventures for everyone to do. Here are a few of my top picks to keep any family busy during this holiday week.

Top 5 Thanksgiving week activities for whole family

 1. Early morning pow turns.
Get up, get out early and make the most of the amazing early season snow here  in Summit County!  On Monday, Breckenridge reported a solid 8 inches of freshies!

2. Scenic gondola ride for the littlest family members.
The gondola in Breckenridge is free and a scenic ride is a great option for families with kids too young to get out on the mountain. I went up the gondola with my brother Brad, sister-in-law Deb and baby nephew Simon, and it was a blast. At the top we grabbed lunch and hot chocolate at the new Peak One Place base lodge. You can also get a free souvenir season pass for the kids under three at the base of the gondola.

3. Snowshoeing.
There are endless amounts of beautiful trails to get out into the snow and stomp around. Again this is something everyone can do and is very affordable. Snowshoe rentals range from $10-20 per day. Getting out into the quiet wilderness is very peaceful and the views are priceless!

4. Cruising Main Street.
Great shops, coffee, food, historic ambiance and people watching, really something to satisfy everyone.

5. Happy hour..
Everyone loves a deal and there are amazing happy hour deals at most restaurants and bars in town. Two of my favorites are the Breckenridge Brewery 3-6pm with $2 pints and $6 pitchers everyday and half price apps Mon.- Fri. and the Blue River Bistro who offers 2 for 1 martinis and apps during their two happy hours 3-6pm and again 9pm-closing.

Happy Thanksgiving!
