So recently I've been stuck at school watching the snow fall outside while my friends get to go ski the great new conditions. My brother, Louis, kept rubbing in how he got knee deep powder up on Peak 7 these past few days at Breckenridge ski resort.
However, I had still not been up to check out the new Gold Runner coaster at Breckenridge. I have heard it's pretty fun from a bunch of people, yet I had never really heard the facts straight myself. So I sat down with my brother, who recently conquered the coaster, for a short Q and A.
Me: So, biggest question on my mind, How was it?
Louis: It was a really fun experience. It was much more entertaining than I had thought going into it. I will keep coming back for more.
Me: What was the track like?
Louis: Twisty and windey -- a true roller coaster fanatic's favorite, yet it was smooth enough that even people not particularly fond of roller coasters would love it too. The ride was nice and long as well, about two minutes in duration.
Me: Did you need a lift ticket?
Louis: No, there is a separate Gold Runner Coaster ticket booth where you can purchase rides for just $15. No Breckenridge ski ticket is needed.
Me: What did you wear?
Louis: I was able to keep all of my ski clothes on -- my goggles, helmet, and even ski boots. It was really convenient to be able to keep all of my existing clothing on and not have to worry about changing for the ride.
Me: Do you recommend this to Breckenridge guests?
Louis: Yeah! It is for sure a must do for anyone who visits the mountain.
Me: Was it epic?
Louis: Yes, yes it was epic.
