For part 5 in the series, we head over to Summit County to check out some of the EpicMix pins that can be had at Keystone.  I thought it great that they named the top pin at Keystone after Max & Edna Dercum, who were instrumental in the creation of both A-Basin and Keystone.  I didn’t find any pins for night skiing or the A51 terrain park, but I suspect they are out there.  Here are the pins I found that can be earned at Keystone.

  • Lock N' Key - Earned for your first visit to Keystone
  • Opening Day Keystone - Earned for attending Keystone's opening day
  • Key Summit - Earned for two times on the Outback Express Chair
  • Outback - Earned for riding the Outback Express five times in one day
  • North Peak - Earned for tackling every lift on the peak
  • Keystone Conqueror - Earned for riding every lift on Keystone
  • Kidtopia - Earned for attending Kidtopia
  • Key Pow - Earned for hitting Keystone with a 6 inch snow check in
  • Lock Smith - Earned for 10 days in one season at Keystone
  • Skeleton Key - Earned for 25 days in one season at Keystone
  • Dercum - Earned for 50 days in one season at Keystone

Be sure to check out the rest of the series for EpicMix pins available at the other resorts.  Parts 1 & 2 from Vail are located here & here, part 3 from Beaver Creek, part 4 from Heavenly, and next week we will feature Breckenridge.  Now go get some pins!!
