Strap up your boots, zip up your jacket, and start juicing up that cell phone -- EpicMix is ready to start tracking your stats -- and documenting it through photo.

EpicMix photo has launched a month earlier than expected, just in time for Epic Pass holders headed out to Keystone for opening day tomorrow, Nov. 4. EpicMix is the innovative Webby award-winning mobile application designed by Vail Resorts to help you make the most of your moments on the mountain.

Last year, EpicMix connected with a person's Epic Pass to track activities on the mountain like total vertical feet and days skied while allowing skiers and snowboarders to collect digital pins for individual accomplishments.

This season, pass holders AND hard-card media ticket holders will be excited about the all-new EpicMix photo feature. Throughout a skier's visit, there will be a team of professional photographers on the mountain ready and waiting to take your photo. A quick scan of your Epic Pass, a flash of the shutter, and instantly your family and friends can view your adventures in real time from anywhere on the planet. Collecting, viewing and sharing these photos is absolutely free of charge, and you can opt to purchase high-resolution copies and prints of the photos you like best. You can also upload your own personal photos to store and share via your EpicMix account just as you would with Facebook or Flickr. If you haven't purchased your Epic Pass yet, you can get started over at EpicPass.com. Explore the different pass options and determine which one works for you.

Also new this year is the ability to view the full list of pins. Users can now see all the pins that are available sorted by resort by clicking "EpicMix Pins" in their top navigation panel. Pins are awarded for various achievments on the mountains. For example, first visit to Keystone? You get the "Lock and Key" pin, worth 50 points. Points are totaled and pins are collected, and you can compete and compare your accomplishments with other riders in the online leaderboard. For those who do not wish to participate, you can simply choose not to activate your account. Your data will not be viewable or shareable, and the RF chip can be removed from your pass at select ticket offices.

So as you're headed out to Keystone for opening day, be sure you connect your account with EpicMix and load the application onto your iPhone or Android device before leaving the house. Once you've arrived, make sure to get your photos taken throughout the day by the on-mountain photographers and share those photos with your friends and family. Stop by and chat with the EpicMix crew at the base of the mountain to learn more about how you can make the most out of your winter adventures with EpicMix!
