When we look at our parent's wedding album we all laugh at the fashion trends they chose to use. From the feathered hair, to the ruffles on the bridesmaid dresses, to the lacy long sleeves on the wedding gown, not to mention a turtleneck -- these fashions always go out of style.
I'm proud to announce one trend today that will never go out of style -- the trend of giving back. Weddings gifts where couples incorporate their socially conscious values into their special event bring a socially conscious, mindful aspect to the event that every guest appreciates.
At Iconic Weddings, we love brides who make the wedding favor a donation to their favorite charitable organization or those who opt NOT to register at a department store, but with her charity. Every bride wants to hold memories of her wedding as the time she was her most graceful, beautiful and full of bliss -- how could she not be perfectly happy knowing she supported a cause in lieu of wedding favors or gifts?
Being a guest of a wedding with charitable favors is sure to leave everyone feeling with the most benevolent memory of your day too!
Here's how you can give back on your big day:
Step One: Choose your charity.
Step Two: Determine how much you want or can give. Just remember that it is not about the amount you can give but the gift you are giving in the first place.
Step Three: Let your guests know. The wording you could consider is, "Thank you for sharing this special day with us. In recognition of your love and support, we have made a donation in your name to (Name of Charity)."
